A Tribute to Aunt Debbie
From Indiana, our hearts would soar,
To Aunt Debbie’s open door,
Where laughter echoed, love did flow,
A home where joy would always grow.
Her house, the fun house, bright and grand,
Where every child longed to stand,
In kitchens warm with sweet delights,
Chocolate dreams on endless nights.
Her desserts, a taste of bliss,
In every bite, a chocolatier's kiss,
For both of us, a shared delight,
In every morsel, sheer delight.
Strong and steadfast, a mother true,
In every storm, she saw us through,
With unwavering love, her children’s guide,
A beacon bright, by their side.
Her music flowed, a soothing stream,
On keyboard keys, she’d weave a dream,
A talent pure, a gift so rare,
In every note, we’d find her there.
Fondest memories, crystal clear,
Blair and I, we'd hold so dear,
At Movie Outpost, we'd arrive,
Stacks of movies, candy to thrive.
Now God calls her to His side,
To Heaven’s gates, she does abide,
With Maw Maw’s arms open wide,
In joy and peace, they reunite.
Aunt Debbie, missed beyond measure,
In our hearts, your love, a treasure,
Your legacy, forever bright,
In every star, your guiding light.
Though tears may fall, our spirits soar,
In every laugh, we hear your roar,
Your memory, a cherished tome,
Until one day, we’re all called home.
